Interconnection of Life...

We are all connected; a design of infinite connections inspires us on deep levels of knowing this basic truth. Respect of life is living life consciously. The Native American hunter thanked his prey and even tried to breath in its last breath.

When we eat we consume consciousness. Today with restaurants cooking with many cooks, and families running and moving to quickly, listening to talk shows, or TV - the news while cooking, we have little peaceful consciousness in our food.

Take a minute or two and do what many religions do and bless your food, give thanks, I just try to tune in - the high self above, the earth below and the living forms of plants and animals, and then tuning the energy of the food to my body. This is more than just a devotional practice. Mind is subtle and intention effects everything we do.

this little 'globe' or drawing by Charlie Gunn with The Geometry Center (University of Minnesota) is a great way to remind one of this interconnection.
